| A picturesque city with a quaint courthouse square
Franklin, a city of 15,000, is located 30 minutes south
of downtown Indianapolis. The best of both worlds Franklin
combines small town living with easy access to Indianapolis
and big city entertainment such as restaurants, museums,
music, shopping, and professional sports. It is also
home to Franklin College, which was founded in 1834
making it one of the oldest colleges in Indiana. In
1842, Franklin became the first college in Indiana to
admit women.
